I'm glad you are enjoying it!

I think the land, vegetation, creatures, sky, dungeons and architecture are all fabulous.

I don't care for Sheo, most of the characters or the main questline there though. My character simply enjoys exploring there.

I love the Shivering Isles. It's one of the most creative areas I've visited in a video game. Not only that, but the story is just mind-blowingly fantastic, deeper than a lot of people think or immediately recognize. Plus, you can't beat meeting a Daedric Prince in person.

I absolutely adore the isles. The people you encounter are hilarious, the plot, while funny, is amazing. The environment is spectacular. The quests are well done. I am struggling to not repeat adjectives. The new armor and weapons look sick. The dungeons are elaborate. Everything is just so great! In Mania you can travel great distances by jumping between trees if you are on an acrobatic character and that'll just make you feel like a gangster Tarzan. Have you gazed into the night sky of the Shivering Isles yet; you will be astonished.

I really like the ruins in SI. Part of what makes them cool is the lack of backstory/lore about them; when were they built? By who? And why? We know that some were built later than others, and that's about it. In Tamriel, we know the history behind the various ruins, ancient forts and Daedric worship complexes we come across. Sheogorath's realm has also been around for eons, but we know nothing about it. I like the mystery.

Shivering Isles is an awesome expansion pack, waaaay better than KoTN. New world, new enemies, new dungeons, new bosses, new weapons, new people, new quests - EVERYTHING is better! It's just pure aweseom - if you haven't played it yet, you should, because Oblivion becomes a whole new game. Just fantastic is all I can say. Tremendous fun. :D

Shivering Isles is a real expansion, KoTN is just an added quest. But yeah, it is awesome :)

The Isles are tons of fun just to explore. But while it's a great vacation spot, without mods (or the console) to add things like spellmaking, enchantment, training, houses, etc... it is not really a place to stay. I created http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/subrosa_florens/oblivion/Oblivion517.jpg to explore the Isles from bottom to top. She went through every dungeon and inch of Dementia, and had started on Mania before I moved onto another character.
