"Cool story bro". I've seen it used a lot lately but what does it mean and where did it originate?

"Cool story, bro" is best used when someone explains a huge idea they have, but which obviously pointless and no-one cares. (Or for pointing out trolls.)

It's like saying "Ohhh, that's nice" really sarcastic.

It likely originated on a certain site that cannot be mentioned.

I'm sure that the new search tool called Google could tell you more.

As for the origins of how "cool story bro" came about, it happened from people telling each other such amazing stories that, the person listening would be in such a state of awe that they could only respond with one simple phrase. Merely conjecture.
