Official: Discussion of Multiplayer/Co-op in Skyrim

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 3:47 pm

 And if I am baised which makes no sense on my position, how are you not? If you -read- this thread and the others like it *Bless the forums there aren't as many anymore* you would see inumerable valid points as to why its not worth the effort and why TES doesn't need it. I'm saying it DOESN'T need it, not that I hate it, Like i said there are OTHER games that do this exceptionally well, and if you Enjoy Fable 3 as much as you say then continue to romp in epicness with ITS co-op, TES doesn't need it, effectively its like this. If Skyrim had Co-op and yet you had Fable 3 who has Co-op, whats the point? variety? another game you can curb stomp hapless creatures in? and how does that add to TES? how does it make the series Stand out More as it did in Era's past?

My Stance as why The Dev's should continue to walk their own path and not get dragged down entirely by the mass of fans saying I want this, this, that and a golden goose. BGS doesn't do MP games of any kind, they've stated this as well as not looking forward to doing so in the near future. They Blow minds with Single player games were people can dip themselves in and get lost. you want another bonding measure with a Bud, There are games for that.

jeesh the snarkyness is off the scale

I'm not being snarky at all. I was answering your post with my opinions. My opinions don't make me biased, they are only opinions. You were making statements, not giving your opinion. Either way, I'm still left wondering why you are so against adding another feature that would make this game last considerably longer for a lot of people. Fans want this for a good reason, and a developer that doesn't even consider their customer's opinions is a bad developer.

As post # 201 this marks the 200th response besides the OP, so I've reported the thread so they can lock it.

Well Bethesda must be doing something right with the single player games they have made.

:intergalactic: exactly...... as I said, I don't Hate MP, and yes I am making statements however are they still not opinions coming from me? They are statements in that Beth's games have always been Sp and have done extraordinarily well, they don't need a gimmick to extend the shelf lives, show a game with exceptional Single player that sports multiplayer that isnt lacking or vice versa.

oh by the way WELCOME TO THE FORUMS :D have a http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r105/Enoil/DarkFishyStick.jpg

hmmm this is interesting...i definantly think some aspect of co-op would be cool. perhaps an online auction house between friends or people on server. not trying to be like WOW but that sounds cool. maybe some sort of co-op objectives such as arena.....orrr assassination jobs......idk you could do alot with this. but i would want my Co-Op/multiplayer experience to be seperate with single player. so maybe make it an exbox live thing where u can take your character into whatever objective mini quests you think of and xp or money is transferred to your player. that would be very coooooooooooooooo in my opinion. but i dont want my [censored] ass little brother entering my game and slaying my favorite skooma dealer hahaha

I'm surprised this topic still exist. Personally I don't think mp should ever be in TES. No not all fans want mp.
Single player is a great experience to enjoy by yourself. In an rpg like this, I would like to play the role of my player
and not have to worry about anyone else.

I just don't see how multiplayer would benefit TES at all. The single player campaign is the top priority and I think it should stay that way. Multiplayer would only complicate an already complicated system. Besides, it would probably take away from the single player experience.
