I don't want to keep a private version and have to install python on wine that i'm constantly deleting.

I don't know because Melchor is still working on the new version afaik and I haven't heard from him since the last time he was logged in here.

Me too and I believe that's the one thing that Melchor already have been working on lately for the new version, but again I can't say when he will be back though.
