Aadpted for SD TV?

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 2:30 am

Hello,

I know that Brink will be a shooter and not an rpg in which long texts are that important, however things like minimaps, quick infos and precise shooting tend to be messed up if the game is only fitted for Hd tv in mind. I'd may buy an HD in the fall but I want to know if I'd be crying because of messy graphics until then... ;).

Any info if brink will be playable and enjoyable on a sd ?

I don't think they've made games with SD in mind in a long time. It should be fine though.

Vanquish has SDTV mode.

Defaults to "On" when you're not connected using HDMI.

I can't think of any other recent releases catering for it though.

Here's hoping Brink at least uses large enough fonts to be clear on SDTV if they don't have a separate mode for it (And I already have HD, and strongly recommend it because AWESOME)

No console-game runs at a FullHD resolution, though.
Most run barely above SD and some do actually run at SD (Bad Company 2, for example).
