disallow waiting under certain circumstances

I'm sure there is an easy, breezy, beautiful cover girl way to do this, but I haven't found it yet.

seriously, Oblivion has some built-in function to prevent the player from waiting, on certain circumstances, IE while there are enemies nearby, or when you are in the air. If you try to wait in those cases there will be a nice popup screen saying you cannot wait in that moment.

Can someone enlighten me, How can I achieve this??

Thank you !

I don't know it there is a better solution, but if not, you could disable the wait key, and write a message if the key is pressed, and then enable it when aiting should be allowed again.

The problem with this is it wouldn't work if someone someone remaps the wait key, odd, but some people do it.

I found a better solution: to use the function closeAllMenus within a menu 1012 in a begin/end block. Not as good as oblivion's builtin way, but at least it works.

Thank you anyways,

cheers!
