Well, the way I figure it, NPCs do have an acrobatics skill, they just... can't use it. Is there any way to force NPCs to jump, even VIA animation?

You could probably just tell them to play appropriate animations with PlayGroup. I think Deadly Reflex makes NPCs jump, though I never looked into it.
