Do you already have a character planned out.

Well i have to wait to see the skills first, but i always play as a nord. Will probably go for a nord barbarian/knight(light or heavy armor, 2handed axe, restoration)

I went through Morrowind and Oblivion.. both believing that I was going to discover my background. I have no idea why. But no I've never made a background for my character. Since they didn't give me one I felt like I was supposed to not know.. Like I had amnesia or something. It didn't really make sense that I'd have one at all in Oblivion. If I did I would have already known the area.

I'll most likely go through the game the first time with a rogue type of character. For some reason that's what I've done since Baldur's gate. It just feels natural and the easiest for me to play. I'm an explorer so I want to get into everything I can.. And I like the ease at which rogues can gain wealth.

Unless I change my mind, my Skyrim character will be my Daggerfall one =]
As a Dunmer he have a chance to still be alive, plus with the "west mess up" thing, who knows what happenned to him.
Compared to Morrowind and Oblivion where you play something related to gods, the Daggerfall character was kinda left over. That's what I liked about this guy, he doesn't become a god or something. And actually I think he was my favourite char. 2 episodes is long enough for a good return hehe.
For my second playthrough I'll go for a Nord beggar.

"Knightmare",imperial descendant of my main character in Oblivion. The title "Knightmare" is passed from father to son when the father dies.If theres one son and one daughter, son gets the title.Only one son is given birth(other sons are to be killed when given birth) .Otherwise,if one of the sons would get the title, brother(s) might get jealous.Rough stuff.

Or "Kalma",a nord (thats all for now)

So far I have a generic background, but I lack some lvl of detail.

Terry Pratchett for the win!!! :D

Anyway, my character will be a mage type, with a bit of melee weapon skills.
In Oblivion my character was a summoner of the Breton race. This time I'm going with a character that primarily uses spells but can also use a sword, and as for the race, I haven't decided.... most probably an Imperial.

I'm going to be either a Breton or Nord on my first play through, I want to know more about the stats of each race first. I'm going to be a swordsman that also uses some magic, mostly for self defense and healing. I'll create a back story for my character once we get closer to a release date and we know more about the story line.
