Hail Dunmer

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 8:02 am

Where can I find the old NPC Dunmer saying "Hail Dunmer" from morrowind. I don't have it installed because I can't stand it's graphics anymore but I really like that soundfile and want it as a ringtone.

Thanks in advance

If you still have the CDs, reinstall the game. Browse to Morrowind\Data Files\Sound\Vo\d - this is where the Dunmer voice files are stored. Browse through the contents of the m and f folders (male and female, respectively) to find the file you're looking for.

If you don't like the graphics there are TONS of mods to fix the bodies, make the view distance better, the animations better, the textures awesome, etc, etc. My Morrowind actually looks better than Oblivion. :)

To be more specific, I'm pretty sure that's a Nord greeting, although I could be wrong.

Data Files\Sound\Vo\n\m\Hlo_NM98.mp3:
"Hail, Dunmer, do ye need somethin'?"
Also
Data Files\Sound\Vo\n\f\Hlo_NF98.mp3
- female version.

pov, I'm pretty sure it was you, but you never did get around to making that list of graphic enhancer mods you use in MW...:P

No spinning trees, plastic FaceGen heads or difficulties with interior decorating! I agree with you, out of the box Morrowind's visual style is far more stylistic and enjoyable than Oblivion's, and with mods, you can get it looking far superior in terms of polycount and resolution as well. I'm hoping TES V lessens the normal map spam, so our brick walls don't look like they're made of cake frosting.

Ah. The Dunmer say the same thing. I can remember because of their grovvelly voices in TES III.
I don't really want to mod my morrowind because last time I did so I had wasted about 20 gigs on mods, I download too many.
