Foreshadowing of Skyrim in Oblivion.

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 3:20 pm

I found it quite "foreshadowing" how Kvatch is the only one to fall out of the major cities, and in Kvatch the chapel is the Chapel of Akatosh, perhaps foreshadowing the "Fall of Akatosh/Alduin".

That was more of a tie to Martin being in the Chapel of Akatosh and he is a dragonborn, not a stretch of the imagination of how it foreshadowed anything <_<

Also, I still say Alduin is not Akatosh.

Nice find indeed.
I guess this is some rumour spoken?

Yeah. It's spoken from time to time whenever someone asks "Heard any news from the other parts of Tamriel?"

Tribunal had someone who already knew what would happen in oblivion

Not just that, but the topic 'unrest in Cyrodiil' and a Nord in Bloodmoon who gave a whole prophecy were in Morrowind.

Nice Finds, people. Must admit- its got me thinking that if skrim has preludes in previous elder scrolls games, whether this is a finale of sorts-- seeming as interpretations of Alduins Wall have all previous main quest playing a part in this.
I hope thats wrong though- and given the increasing popularity of The Elder Scrolls. Perhaps the next time jump will be much bigger, though 200 years is pretty damn big :P

Every crazy person in oblivion had something to say whats his name in Anvil said they're coming for me in the dragon ships and there was other stuff sometimes you have to listen carefully to the crazies to discern the furture but sometimes you listen to closely and you go mad yourself Mwhahahahahahahahahahaha but seriously dragons kept getting referenced someone should go check all that out and post it here so we can disect it for the future.......

Because Rghost is a weird file uploading site?

I couldn't find any other sites that give you the option of playing it instead of just having to download it. If you have another suggestion, tell me and I'll change it.

And thanks.

Try this place: http://www.onmvoice.com/

Seems to be the audio equivalent of using Imageshack.

Given the thousands of years of backstory, all interwoven with different creation myths for each race, epic landscape changing wars, the rise and fall of several civilizations and a myriad of conflicting deities, each with incredibly complex designs for Nirn.... I'd say it's a really safe bet that they've mapped out a few years of the future as well.

As great or limited as any one game in the series is, is sprung forth for some very intelligent, very ambitious Role Players. You bet your last septim each and every game is filled with foreshadowing. Those Dumner who scream travesty and would see Keyes hung for his alleged crimes knew in their ashen hearts that it was inevitable. Morrowind would fall. It was foretold. As was Akatosh's unbinding.

I mean, Alduin's... Yeah.
