Activating hand cart leaves me stuck - mod related?

Trying to play the pitt for the first time.

I get Werner in the tunnel, he tells me I can't tale Falks and I get on the hand cart and activate it. I get the do you want to travel msg followed by a white screen. When it clears I'm left stuck where I was on the hand cart unable to move or see my HUD.

I've found only one other post on the issue without a resolution.

Anyone able to give me some advice on how to get around it? I've been trying with the console but am a bit of newb with it and haven't had success.


Edit - fyi if anyone's interested... found problem was with Fook2 DLC Improvement script on the hand cart. I found if I didn't use the fook2 script it worked ok.

Something is fighting with FOOK over control for that handcart script as well as the dialogue involved with the followers.

FOOK's always an easy one to just remove out of people's load order, it seems. But, I hope you find the other mod which is interfering and maybe drop it out instead. FOOK's control and fixes for The Pitt are meaningful. With FOOK's version, you actually take your followers into The Pitt, and it works well in the context. The "capture" scene is redone, among other things.

FOOK2 beta 2 on its own does not break that, but something interfering with the dialogue and the scripts in combination with FOOK2 would.

Looking through the list you would certainly want to try dropping this out:

Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch - The Pitt.esp

and see how FOOK's version of The Pitt runs.

Thanks for the replies.

I didn't want to lose Fook2 so I only added the vanilla DC hand cart script to my over ride patch which loads last. I understand this will mean I don't benefit from the fook follower handling in it's version but I can live with that for now.

So Fook2 DLC Improvements is still in the load order, just not this one script - if there are any more far reaching effects by not using this particular fook script pls let me know.

I really just wanted to get playing so I consider this only a quick fix. If/when I play the Pitt again I'll try taking the UF3P out of the mix etc.
