Capes?

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 2:06 am

Alot of people have mentioned trying to get the right look for an assasian build. Beth should do something kind of like LOTRO here. I'm not suggesting TES be like LOTR. Please no, but they do have a wide variety of cloaks and robes in the game.

The more clothing options the better. Capes, cloaks, bring it on.

Also masks and cowls to hide you'r identity. And if you wear a hood while on the run from the law then they wont recognize you unless they get close and examine you too long from the front.

I would also like it if you could get a good dusguise/ranger style hooded cloak that would conceal your face if your notoriety was high for walking past guards into towns, or approaching bandits etc. They would come up and give you a little shove and take the piss out of ya, until you whip your cloak off and bust some moves on their ass!

The next post shall be epic.... reaaaddyyy?

Tuckable/Untuckable shirts imo.

And layered clothing so you can wear regular clothes under your armor.

Personally, I don't care about capes or any piece of clothing in the game, as I'll be playing in FP.

All I ask is that there are Guars. Beth can recycle the same models from Morrowind, I don't care! Gran Turismo did it! I just want Guars, dammit.

I'll be in 1st person as well. However, I played through Daggerfall in 1st (Obviously), and at least half of my game time was spent shopping for armor, weapons, and clothing, so appearances do matter even if nobody ever sees it.

The other half of my time was mainly stealing horses and selling them back to the same guy come morning.

Why not add cloaks and capes and maybe with hoods on them. A tunica would also be great for the thief characters.

One of my favorite mods for Morrowind was one that added capes to the game (it took the shirt slot I believe). It also gave capes to the Ordinators. I would really like to see more clothing slots in this game as it just adds immersion and makes it more fun :)

I like so much capes... I instaled a cape mod in Oblivion, but without a good cloth simulation, capes looks really crap!

I really hope skyrim bring us both capes and cloth simulations... I hope so!

If I remember correctly, in one of the first images in the Game Informer spread there was an "assassin" type character with a cloak on stabbing a goblin, which looked to be an in-game image. From that photo I'd have to say that cloaks are probable.

Just checked, that one looks more like just a robe and a hood, like it did in Oblivion
And almost all the cloth on screens we've seen looks like it's not simulated but scripted. Sad but true.

Unfortunately there is no cape in this image... the assassin is wearing a cloack or robe.

No, no capes. Only cloaks!

Excatly! Capes are for cosmetics which equals useless in Skyrim when you are fighting [censored] dragons. A cloak for hiding or for keeping heat would not only be authentic and practical, it would be awesome to look at as well :)

Yes, but if they go through the trouble to include cloaks, they might as well remove the hoods and do capes as well. Besides, capes would fit just as well as cloaks when you consider the aristocracy.

Or they could have it so that you can take your hood down (I think they did this in Daggerfall, not sure though)

They should also let you wear animal furs on your back.

Animal fur capes!!! Made from 100 white rabbits :bunny: :celebration:

Seriously though, I'm all for capes and (hooded) cloaks. It just adds that special something to someone.

As long as we can wear seperate armor under the cloaks, Then by all means, Yes! :mohawk:
Also, there should be an option in-game to pull down the hoods on the cloaks, and add an animation for it :o.. That would be epic.
