So I've tried the normalised sound files, which seemed like a good idea (even though i don't need them because i have a noiseless PC

). I salute Greenbandit's painstaking work (that's a lot of recorded audio!), but frankly i would prefer the low volume to the background noise and sound defects that are revealed in the normalised files. I think it's more immersion-breaking than having quiet dialog. The point of this message is: dtom, think twice about changing the sound files.... not so sure it's a good idea...
I would love to have the time to deal with the sound files myself to try and fix them (I'm a part-time recording engineer), but unfortunately this is not the case ATM.
cheers to all B)
