Skyrim on PSP2

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 4:19 pm

We won't be getting Skyrim for the PSP2 or the NGD or NGP (Whatever the code abreviation is). Now if its a future Elder Scrolls type title that's not too big. Something similar to Redguard but with the ability to pick your race and a larger map then it's a possibilty. I wouldn't doubt if one day we get an Elder Scrolls on the Portable consoles just don't expect it to be a numbered Elder Scrolls game or anything too fancy.

While the debate about whether this puppy could run Skyrim is interesting, we are all missing the point. MORROWIND BABY! Come on Beth, make it happen.

IF Games made for PS3 will run on the NGP then Bethesda won't have to do anything but give license for all the PS3 games(OB,FO3 and FNV) to be used on it.

That's speculation at best, we don't even have proper technical specifications yet.

http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2011/01/ngp.ars That said, games made for the PS3 will not run on the NGP. Sony and the developers they had speaking at the conference made it clear that the NGP is close to the power of the PS3 (similar to how the PSP was close to the power of the PS2, despite being somewhat less capable and requiring a bit of dev work to port titles over as a result), and that they want it to be possible for developers to easily port their titles cross-platform from the PS3 to the NGP, but you won't be playing most PS3 games unless their developers actually bother to port them.

Proper, that's very brief and doesn't include the whole story anyway. (How much RAM, for example)

1 gig of ram. How much memory do these "flash cards" have though? Ps3 runs on bluray so how can they make these games fit on the next generation portable?

it will be at least the same maximum size as the 3ds, which is up to 8GB.
But there are other types of cards available up to 128GB, which is overkill.

The current tech sits at 32 and 64 gigs with a capped potential at http://www.sonyinsider.com/2009/08/05/sony-finalizes-backwards-compatible-memory-stick-xc-with-2tb-maximum-capacity/

Yes yes and more yes.

It has plenty of graphics horsepower. It has dual anolog, hell it has touch screens on both sides so it could have PC like inventory and menu navigation. The game would be amazing on this handheld.

Developers have already said one of the goals with the NGP is to be playing the game at home on your PS3, have the game save auto transfer to your NGP, and walk out the door continuing whatever you were doing on your TV moments ago.

Imagine that?!

I would say according to Todd's outlook on handhelds, that this is the first and ONLY handheld Elder Scrolls should be on.
