BLOODLINES II // VAMPIRES OF VVANDERFELL Revamped
Hi all.

As you can see at the title, this mod′s is being, a general improve to vampire′s perspective, inspired in the mod “Bloodlines” by Carnithus, and the WIP, Vampires of VVanderfell, of .blake.

At “Bloodlines” you played as a vampire supporter of the order of Nasgiel, a vampiric organization that tries to keep Vampiric Houses territories in peace, but my mod is going to take that way farer.

I have to say, I′m very influenced by other vampire resources, like Vampire : the masquerade, or Anne Rice′s Vampiric Chronicles, so, it′s possible that you can encounter many similitudes adaptated to TES universe.


This mod keeps the original vampire Clans, ( Aundae, Berne, Quarra ) but it will add what I use to name “bloodlines”.

These bloodlines, are variations of some clan, bornt by the mixing of some vampiric clans, by drinking blood of some vampires and embracing others, or simply by dissidentism with some clan rules.

I have to say, bloodlines are not clans, so, you can see bloodlines will feel more respect about clans than their own bloodlines( at the most. Of course, there exist independentists).

These bloodlines are marked by disciplines. Disciplines are integrated as special specific powers of each bloodline, that have no cost on magick, but it will have blood cost. (using blood meter of vampiric hunger, just the same of vampiric hunger powers by level)

All disciplines have 5 levels. When you gain a vampiric level(VH) you will have talk with an ancient vampire of your bloodline to be taught the next discipline level. Disciplines are very powerful, so you will have to drink a lot of blood to mastery one of them.

These vampire ancients, will be at your clan headquarter. Headquartes, as Ashmelech, will be reformed, trying to cause the less problem, in order to make it feel as real vampire lairs, where vampires of the whole clan will reunite and discuss. Yeah, no more brainless cave-vampires (I will talk later about them)

There are 11 disciplines, 9 of them are playable.
Most of them will use common effects, or will be activated via dialogue, but some of them need of certain scripting wich I′m learning currently ?

The disciplines are:

****Fortitude: Fortitude can be used to reach incredible levels of resistence, even you can adquire certain grade of sun-covering at high levels of the discipline.

*****Potence:
This discipline gives you inhuman strength, or give really hugue jumps with precision.

******Shadowning: With Shadowning, the vampire can manipulate shadows to make illuminated areas more darker, or give him a shadow veil to sneak their enemies easily. A Berne classical.

******Presence
: It′s used to dominate mortals and vampires using admiration or mind control. It will make you appear prettier, frighten your enemies, or make people think that you are a reincarnated King-God of other planet and they must serve you.

******Kinesis: Vampirism gives a boost to the mind of the child, and some Aundae develop more interest on explore their mind instead of preparing long and forgotten vampire rituals. This discipline will make you able to use telekinesis ina permanent way, burnt your enemies with pyrokinesis, make a psychic bubble around you, or push your opponent to the skies and then fall, using gravity to crush him

******Celerity: Boosts speed in a superhuman way. It will seem like you were teleporting yourself.

*******Blood magic: The most feared Aundae discipline. It will include powerful spells to summon horrors from weird planes, drain all the blood from a vampire or a mortal, and turn your blood into fire to be 100% resistant to it.

*******Animalism: Animal morphing and summoning. Very powerful transformation at fifth level.

****Aurium: These discipline is focused about gold using and a bit of mental confusion to get the best prices.

*******Mindslaving: This is a special discipline that I will describe later.

And now, the non-playable:

Illusionism: Uses illusions to confuse the opponent. Fake clones of the vampire, blind, illusionary walls, etc.

Mindripping: This discipline it′s used to turn the opponent into a crazy psycho, using madness in order to make people berserk, paranoid, or summon a madness representation of the vampire′s twisted mind ( imagine a cow with spiders legs with caius cosade′s head, for example)

Now, I will describe the bloodlines and the clan remodellation:

--Mabrel: They are like a mixture of Berne and Aundae. This bloodline is famous by their physical beauty, and their creativity as poets, painters, or musicians. They use Presence, Celerity and Shadowning. It′s originis are dated to an ancient aundae who was too lazy to study blood magic, and focused their mental skills to more artistic purposes.


--True Quarra
: They are the original quarra direct descendants, without mixings. They use Fortitude, Celerity and Potence. They refuse the most time their mixed bloodlines.

--True Aundae
: The original Aundae. Especialized in Blood Magic, Kinesis, and Presence, they are the most sophisticated vampires. They like to spare time at politics, magic, and fight. They don′t refuse or worry about their bloodlines, but, many Aundae make fun about Mabrel or Zababa.

--Zababa
: This society renegated, use to travel the ashlands in caravans. Many travellers have reported strange encounters with weird nomad ashlanders, who seem to make impossible things. Zababa bloodline is especialized on illusionism, in order to protect themselves from vampire hunters or other kind of agressors. These vampires only embrace ashlanders, and most of them prefer death before being made a vampire, but some of them enjoy they new powers.They develop Illusionism, animalism, and fortitude.(NON PLAYABLE)

--Assurna: A extremely violent quarra bloodline. Vampirism turn Assurna vampires into savage killers, who have the need of murder in order to get their daedric deities pleased. They justify their crimes with some kind of Molag Bal prophecies.
They are formidable warriors who use celerity, potence, and shadowning, in order to rush entire towns, in a single butchery. Fast, strong, and Invisible.


--Curios:
These bloodline is obsessed with bussines and political control ( I will speak alter about this terme). They are not so well prepared to fight against other vampires, but they use their Presence to dominate human followers, making money easily, and getting some personal guard. They also use shadowning to escape from complicated situations, and Aurium, their own discipline. They like to embrace wealthy imperial merchants or nobles.


--Eradra: These renegated childs of quarra, want to stay away from cities and politics. They prefer the friendship of animals and plants instead of humans or other vampires. They are often seen with animals, at the skirts of mountains or inhospit places. They use to embrace social-ankward people, who want to commit suicide. They use Animalism, Fortitude, and Potence.

--Sil: Sil vampires are completely crazy. Some Aundae wanted to see what happens when a strong mid like them embraces the twisted mind of a crazy human. The children, developed a strange discipline called “Mind Rip”. This discipline makes the vampire able to make crazy their objective. They are hunted by most Aundae, because they think their Mind Ripping power is too strong, so it can destroy completely the mind of a powerful Aundae ancient, turning the ancient into a psicotic dumb. They are called “loons”, and they tend to refugee in abandoned houses, daedric ruins, or try to seem a common person at the town. (NON PLAYABLE)


--True Berne:
Vampirism turn this original clan into sneaky creatures. Many of them use pure sneak to reach their objectives as assasins, but an important part of them likes to get deep into politics.

--Whisperers: This bloodline is very secretive. Most vampires think about them as another failed Aundae experiment, bet, instead of getting crazy, these creatures use ther discipline “ Mind slaving” to control the mortals, and use them as army. This discipline is more powerful than Presence, despite de fact it cannot be used on vampires, only on humans. Mindslave can be used via dialogue to give direct orders to the human. Also, they will have the powerful ability of Mindreading. When increasing Mindslaving, whisperers will increase their mind reading ability. Mindreading can be used to know the race, gender, clan, bloodline, faction, level, vampiric level, skills, attributes,class, or even personal information that the victim can be hiding. Mindreading can be used on vampires. They are called “ parasites” or “mindslavers” by other vampires. They use Kinesis, Mindslaving, and Presence to dominate minds of humans.

Example of use of of Mindlsaving.

At first mindslaving/mindreading level, the whisperer can open the dialogue conversation, and use the mindreading topic to know about his victim, and he can use mindslaving to hiptonize with a single-phrase. For example, when you open mindslaving topic, you will have these options at high level:

-You like me. You like me a lot -> raises disposition to 90 isntantly
-Dance. You are a dancer-> force dance
-Jump. Frogs jump. You are a frog -> force jump
- Follow me. Now. -> forces the npc to follow you
-I′m a dragon. You should flee -> the npc will think you are a dragon or other powerful being and will flee.

-Kill yourself. -> npc will commit suicide with his weapon.

Mindslaving cannot fail, because it′s activated via dialogue. It′s a very powerful tool as we will see.

FACTIONS

Vampires of vvanderfell are no more mindless bloodsvckers who kill people on sight. There is a complex society behind mortal′s eyes. All cities on morrowind now are ruled by a vampiric prince or princess, except Balmora and Mournhold, where a Referee keeps these cities as neutral places for vampires.

There are three Great Vampiric Houses. Each house have control over some cities. That means, you will have to show your respect to each prince, if you want to feed your blood thirst, or embrace people in their cities. If you don′t do this, the prince will establish a blood hunting against you, and vampire hunters will pursue you.

The PC cannot join any of them, because he/she will become member of the Order of Nasgiel. But, before this, the Balmora referee will suggest you to know better the vampire culture of vvanderfell, so you will have to visit each prince, in order to accomplish some quests for them , or simpy, showing your respect to him/her, so the prince will let you to feed freely in his town. The quests will depend of the house and personality of the prince. Some quests will be about celebrating a blood orgy in a the elyseum of the vampire, and others will be about spying other houses, investigate murders, recover vampiric reliquies, hunt other vampires, etc.

The houses:


Great House Indaren: They are very close to Nasgiel. Their political interests are based on protection and ruling over vvandefell, controlling the embraces and blood drinking at cities, in order to keep the equilibrium between citicens(cattle) and vampires. They use to have their headquarters at big buildings at cities, where they have fake business to pass unsuspected.

Great House Galknathna: This daedric-origininal house, is famous for their desires of conquer all vampire territories, exposing their vampiric nature to mortals and killing them. They commit spree killings at cities, they like to kill, and they hate the other houses. They are going to be expulsed from The Council.

Great House Mirari:
These faction is very secretive, but they are well known by their interest of black-market bussines as prostitution, drug-smuggling, slavery, and bet. They are easily recognized by covering their mouths with scarfs and some of them use glasses. It′s members, focus on the use of mind-control discipline in order to enslave criminals and entire gangs to protect them and raise their power.
Yeah, vampire yakuza came to vvanderfell.


OTHER FACTIONS

Caitiff: Vampires without specific clan, or wild vampires. Some times, the bloodlines are weak when extreme breeding, so there exist vampires with no concrete clan or disciplines. Also, some vampires prefer to live in caves or tombs, feeding with the blood of travellers or adventurers. They are hated by civilized vampires, and they call them “bloodsvckers”. Also, Caitiff vampires are these children who renegated of the rest of their clan, and they prefer to live as lone creatures. All of them are hated, and Houses send Blood Hunters to kill them.

Order of Nasgiel:It′s a organization created to keep vampire territories safe. Great Vampiric Houses use to assalt cities from other houses, while the order tries to balance the territories and blood laws.

The Council: It′s a group composed by chosen vampires of all houses, in order to represent their house presence in vvanderfell. The Council sometimes makes Sabbaths, where all vampires of the city, or the entire province, reunite and talk about important subjects to the kindred.


PRINCES AND ELYSEUMS
I still have to post the full list of Princes, so I will start with the Prince of the Bitter Coast, Prince Makonnen Mirari.

Prince Makonnen Mirari
Description:
He is the ruler of the Bitter Coast, concretely, He has control over Hla Oad, Gnaar Mok, and Seyda Neen. The Bitter Coast is the most important focus of power for House Mirari, because from there, they can control the flow of ships and goods. The prince has bussines with a lot of gangs and tongs, as the Cammona Tong, or other gangs or groups of bandits. He has mind-controled the Arenim Family, in order to able him to live at their manor in Gnaar Mok. At the manor, he has digged his elyseum, wich consists in a dark club, plenty of smoke and low-lights. At the elyseum, street gangs reunite to discuss matters with "the boss", slave traffic is orderer, and vampires of House Mirari congregate there too.
He likes the company of humans(cattle), and he hate his vampire opoositors, as you will see.

Nickname: “The Boss”
Clan: Berne
Bloodline: Curios
Favoured discipline: Domination
Favoured weapons: He uses to send his henches. If physical combat, he has been seen using a enchanted daedric dai-katana.

I can tell, this will be a great mod. I loved Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines a lot. So, would the leaders of each Vampire Clan be considered True Aundae, Berne, or Quarra, depending on which clan? How would one go about becoming a true-bloodline?

You will become Aundae, Quarra, or berne at first, so there′s not new clans. But, when you go to Aundaw/quarra/berne headquarters, some ancient of your clan will determine wich bloodline you are in. Thisis currently made via dialogue, so you will choose the bloodline you like the most. If you are an Aundae, you can select to be True Aundae, mabrel, whisperer, etc.

Being an old-school fan of VtmR and the WoD in general, I always enjoy mods that bring the aspects of WoD to TES!
