Should Skyrim have an OPTIONAL hardcoe mode?

- Map out in the rain = Map wet and useless

Interesting idea. Game would have to detect when you are "under shelter" or not, but should be fairly simple to implement. In response to post above, it doesn't have to ruin anything - just make it impossible to do since we assume the PC has common sense - you can't access your map or logs when standing in the rain. I think this is a great idea to give weather some meaning. Can you imagine making your way to your destination, getting caught in the rain, lost and having to dash to the nearest farmhouse/inn to check your map and weather out the storm? Would totally change the dynamic of cross-country vs path walking. Very cool RP.

- Everything weighs something ( maybe except keys ) + realistic weight for arrows. No one carries more than 30 arrows, because it is impractical.

Could get lucky on the arrow thing, didn't the combat update say they were rebalancing archery to make it more power and arrows more rare?

I mean this in the most constructive way possible...

If the food/drink is implemented, I'd really love it to be a little more immersive than in Fallout New Vegas. I'm really not a fan of the whole "La la la... here I go bip-bopping around the Mojave desert... hmm, am I hungry? I don't know... I can hear wind blowing through the wire fence, pick up difference between a 12 gauge and a 9mm pistol, and marvel at the chirping of the crickets: but I can't actually hear my stomach grumbling!! You'd think all the bubbling radiation in my gut would cause more than a few rumbles. But wait, all is not lost! Just let my pull out my Pipboy and desperately search through fifty thousand menus and submenus and check an abstract little bar, where is it? Oh here it is! Oh no... it says that I have 300 hunger points! That must mean I'm pretty darn hungry! But its all good, let me just eat 6 Brahmin Steaks in a row and I'll be all right until I have to access the menu to change my armour and forget where to find the huge bar. But it doesn't matter, I'll loot five fridges and just stuff my face once every two days and cross my fingers I'll be alright! And if it says 'you are no longer suffering from hunger sickness' I'll know that I did something right!!"

Don't get me wrong, I really liked the hardcoe mode aspects from Fallout NV... but If you're starving to death, you should be able to FEEL IT on your character! It doesn't have to be over the top (and shouldn't be annoying!), just something to let you know you could use a biscuit or two... without spending half your play time searching through menus, or just eating absolutely every piece of food you loot, 'just in case'.

Which is probably why your strength dropped, making you weaker (and often as not slowing me down since I ran around packing close to the weight limit most of the time), when you got hungry enough for it to begin having an effect?

Yah I like that and if you are starving you should look more skinny and pale.

The Elder Scrolls really gave birth to that concept of 'hardcoe' we see in Fallout: New Vegas... and it was implemented by modders long before that. If Bethesda doesn't put it in as an option... I'm sure we'll all see a rather well-made variation of the 'Necessities of Morrowind' and 'Whatever the hell that food-drinking-sleeping mod was' for Oblivion.

Still... I'd like it if it was included standard. Just because we all know it can be done now, and without really compromising anything.

Nobody who didn't want it would be hurt... and everyone who did would be delighted.

Sounds to me like a win-win situation... but meh... only time will tell.
