This is the topic to tell all about your horse - or actually, your characters horse. What kind of, their name, how your character takes care of his/her horse..

Angie owns a nice, healthy Bay horse, she bought her not too long ago. She called her horse Thunder, because of the stormy and unpleasant weather she was in when meeting her for the first time. When she is in town she takes her horse for a little walk almost every day. She also gives her horse carrots, since Thunder refuses to eat anything else but carrots.

Buffy's horse is a black mare named Superian. She is named by combining the names of Buffy's father and mother (Superior + Terry Ann = Superian). She is the fastest horse in Buffy's Cyrodiil. Buffy can recall her from great distance due her power, Call of Corsair. A long lasting spell allows the mare to run across the surface of lakes and rivers. Thanks to her saddlebags, she carries as much as, well, a horse.

She has been with Buffy for over 500 hours and they have learned to travel safely together thanks largely to a pair of rings Buffy has that provide 360 feet of range to detect danger. When necessary, Superian accompanies Buffy into town or even occasionally into large dungeons if the weather is poor.

Buffy is a horse crazy elf and takes incredibly good care of her precious mare.

I have a black horse I call 'Dog' for my character Tusas. Its just black. Has a saddle. Nothing special. Found it somewhere.

Nona Sintalius' horse was originally the horse of Prior Maborel. He let her borrow it to head to Kvatch and rescue Martin. However, when she returned to Weynon Priory, the Mythic Dawn had attacked, and Prior Maborel was dead. The horse now had no owner and was left alone, so Nona took it in as her own horse. However, she realized in her haste to get to Kvatch, she had never asked Prior Maborel the name of the horse, so she decided to name him Maborel in honor of his deceased owner.

Nona eventually equipped Maborel with steel horse armor! He continued to serve her as a friend and steed on her quest to stop the Oblivion invasion. Once the quest was complete and Nona was named Champion of Cyrodiil, and awarded the Imperial Dragon armor, she requested a custom set of armor also be made for her steed.

That horse is amazing looking! Is there a mod released anywhere with that horse?

Sonya has Two Horses and a Pack Mule which she uses on various occasions. Lilly is her Paint Horse which was her first acquired in Bruma. Lilly is used mostly for Sundas rides and going to church. They saw a lot of action together including the destruction of Kvatch. She loves Lilly so much she retired her to Waterfall Cottage to live out the rest of her days in safety and peace.

Lucky is Sonya's Black Horse and it took a long time for her to save up the 5000 gold price tag but it was worth it. Lucky is used strictly for adventuring and long range travel. She was lucky when she acquired Lucky because he was unbroken, stubborn, hard to handle and no one wanted him. He was slated to be destroyed because of his attitude but Sonya won him over with kindness and patience. They love each other deeply and will protect each other even to death.

Groucho is Sonya's Pack Mule. She uses him to carry heavy loads she has collected in her travels to the city merchants. She will take him adventuring sometimes but tends to miss Lucky's company on those occasions. Sonya loves Groucho and keeps a large supply of apples around for him because he loves them so much. He is stabled with Lilly to keep her company while Lucky and Sonya are away.

@Velorian: Check out Sloth's Base Horse mod at her site or you could check out Emma's site which has Sloth's mod and the Pack Mule Mod. I got them from Emma's site. There is a new horse compilation mod at TES Nexus that has Sloth's mod included in it but I haven't tried it yet.

At times he speaks but his name is unpronounceable (something like Aurusmn'azzargualcahun'mshabaalaptenamaneem, I am not clear...). The beast always tries to go off on his own, but seems to come back at will.

P.S. I used a spell of Midtone on this one..

As Sonya said, it is Slofs Horses Base mod. Everything Slof touches is beautiful. Her read me has instructions for changing six, mane, tail, tack, coloring etc.

I'm sure Slofs or Emmas site would be great places to look.

There are a few moving parts to Superian. If you want a super simple gorgeous horse and don't mind a strurdy steed, Slofs Summonable Epona mod is not only beautiful but very simple and loaded with perfect features. Below is a screenie and a link:

Lothran has a mare, Aetherius, that he got a few years back up at the Bruma stables. His former one got killed by an ogre on the way down once and ever since Lothran has been reluctant to let his horse leave the Wildeye Stables.

Oh, and that ogre. He paid dearly for his deed :gun: :dead:

Lissa recently purchased a beautiful white stallion she named Crystal. She had enough money for a black horse, but for Lissa it isnt about speed; its about companionship.

The moment Lissa saw Crystal she fell in love and they've been inseperable.

Unfortunatly, Crystal is as stubborn as Lissa; if Lissa wants to travel on the roads, Crystal would rather travel the countryside.

Despite this, I have seen no better freindship than the friendship between Lissa and her trusty steed

A Paint horse... Prior Maborel's... Paint Horse.

100+ hours in, and Eileen is still travelling around with that slow-as-molasses old mare, but they get along well.

Helena is saving for a white mare from the stables at Anvil. There's one for sale that she thinks is absolutely beautiful, and there's already a connection between the two...although that may be the sheer volume of carrots that Helena brings.

Sabarel uses one of two horses depending on what she is doing.

Shadow is her White Steed that she uses when she has to travel to places that are a long distance away. Yauo is her Bay Horse that she uses when she goes exploring as although she is slower then Shadow she can carry a lot more weight.

I used mine up until he disappeared. I'm not sure what happened.

I found out that I had like 30000 and bought a black horse.

My Orc, Blossom, had a horse once. She called her 'delicious'.

....I just ride the thing....Thats it,no back story for a means of getting around.

Most of my characters use the Alienslof version of Prior Maribels Horse, I noticed that using Wrye Bash gave the name Buster to Buster. I have lost hours of RL play because a character has lost Buster due to bad AI and steep slopes in the Jerral and Valus Mountains.
One of my older saves lost Buster to West Weald Bears, and has a large collection of fangs.
