Question from a long last fan

Hey guys, been a few years since I've been on this site.
I'm assuming what has been dubbed as "Morrowind 2011" is a taboo subject here due to this http://www.gamesradar.com/pc/elder-scrolls-morrowind/news/morrowind-2011-graphical-project-is-attacked-slain-and-looted-by-modding-community/a-2011010784839437023/g-20060330151844646032
drama and can't seem to find anything when I search Morrowind 2011. In my mind I imagined it had been discussed to death on this forum, and I'm sure it has and those threads get closed and blocked, so if the same happens for this one, meh whatever. I tried.

My question: I tried asking in the "Graphics and Audio Rehaul" thread but its full, is this the same thing as "Morrowind 2011"? If not does anyone use Morrowind 2011?

Any update on "Morrowind 2011" would be great. I have the mod myself, and last I heard the creator is fighting the efforts of other modders to shut it down.

Thanks

For one, personal opinions that are anything but glowingly positive are not exactly kosher on this forum. But you already knew that, hence the warning-warning. Secondly, your actual opinion is flawed and without factual basis. And its rude. Im sure you've downloaded a mod or two from some of those elitist whiny brats before. Anyway, Ill just be over there if you need me.

Stick to the Overhaul mentioned above and you'll be 2011- in the Graphics and Sound department!

Morrowind 2011 wasn't even well put together. The author decided it would be a good idea to install all the different regional replacers first and then install a global one over that replacing all of the regional replacers. The mods also weren't all that cohesive and had some conflicts here and there. Also, the main reason that it was shut down was the fact that the author didn't ask for permission from the original authors to redistribute their work while KINGPIX did so just use his Morriwnd Overhaul. I personally would just go through and maybe use the mods he uses as an idea on what to get but putting together your own set of mods tweaking it to your own tastes is way more satisfying. I can understand compilation packs in some modding communities where there isn't all that much of a choice coming to mods but morrowind just has so many mods that there is no way that you could make a pack that satisfies everyone.
