[WIP] Better Bums

G-strings? Please, leave vanilla panties. ;)

Hah! I bet no-one would ask that if this was a female model... :ermm:

If you don't like it, you'd be able to fix the UV and texture yourself. As a point of fact, the original vanilla underwear was the source for the metal stud on the waistband. ;) I did look to try and keep some continuity with vanilla, but apart from dealing with a large expanse of textile it seemed a waste to do all that modelling work and then just cover it up for the majority that won't use the nvde version.

Don't let that bother you, IanB2, make the mod with the style you are more comfortable with.
After all, it's your time and it's your mod.
Show a modded 3d-girl naked or in skinny and sixy clothes and all will be praises, show a modded 3d-man naked and almost all will be scaried.
Old tale. Please do as you wish, as a modder, you have to do your work the way you like. That is the pleasure of modding.

Wouldn't this technically break the BB license? Although there's an easy work-around, just release the modified mesh and let someone else make a vanilla race-replacer out of it. They only said you can't do both of those things.

Wouldn't this technically break the BB license?

As you point out, the license says you can't use the BB body (modified) as the basis for a new race. This is not the intention - the whole point of this is that it can and should be used with the BB original ESP. This will be an upgrade that uses BB, not a replacement for it. Only meshes/textures will be provided, you'd still need to get and use the original BB mod and then copy these meshes/textures over the top of it when installed.

However, there are additional "variation" options that could be provided by adding slight race variations through ESP. It's questionable whether you would be breaking the spirit of that license by adding a "redguard with tattoo" race or "fat dunmer" race or "old Imperial" race based on a variation in UV or shape (with or without a different texture), applied to a few individual NPCs. After all, there are "Better Bodies versions" of the Tribunal gods etc. and those don't seem to be an issue...

Actually, the license/FAQ (http://bb.psychodogstudios.net/about.htm ) states that its OK to make new races with the bodies as well as new creatures (just not doing again what the BB team accomplished with the stock races). I don't see a problem with your releasing the new bodies, though (as a mesh/texture replacement, they would/could still require the original BB to be installed so that one could revert to the original versions for certain races if they so choose :) ).

I thought I just did clothes. Have I been modding in my sleep or something?

Looks like you got some real talent there!
Party all day, and mod while you're unconscious.

Well, I'm not a lawyer (thank goodness) but that makes sense to me. As long as you're only distributing modified meshes, since they don't do anything without an extra esp, I don't see how that could be considered "a mod that replaces the standard races".
