I will hopefully make time to rig and animate the creature before this night is over.

For the movement animations, what would you like? Usually I animate my bird's Idle and forward, backward etc. to be at ground level. Then for the fast animations I have the bird take off for flight move some spaces and then land .

IMO it's a bit low-res

I'm not concerned with the low res. I am however curious as to whether you will actually finish and release this. maybe then you can quiet some of your most vocal critics. Nilla, you are obviously a very capable modder, but you have a long history of giving up on one project only to start another, then another, then...

I'm not here criticizing you needlessly, you have skills that many people here (myself included) could only hope for. It would go a long way if you could see this through to the end and release it so the rest of us can enjoy the effort you put into your work.

Nice, very few poeple can animate creatures and add them in-game. I am curious as to why you dont use more complex models though.

The model/texture looks a bit simple up close, but if they fly high enough that shouldn't be very noticable by the player anyway.

I am curious as to what role they might play in the game.
Are they just eye candy or will they be in some way dangerous?
I remember an earlier video where these creatures seemed to mount some sort of weapons on their backs, but it wasn't clear then if they were intended to represent some sort of creature, robot or just a sort of tech demo.
What exactly are they?

Would be cool if you, or even someone who you could pass this on to later, made AI that let them travel in big flocks (they are low res enough for that not to be a problem) and randomly swarm the player if they're been injured recently (bleeding) or swarm corpses, could be fun. Nice work! ;)

My computer died in its sleep as of 12 am this morning. It simply would not power on and no shaking of the mouse or pressing of the keyboard keys would re-activate it. Not even the power button worked. So after multiple tries, I gave up and bought a new computer like I have been wanting.

8 gigabytes of Ram
5770 ATI card
1 Terrabyte of HD space 7200 rpm
and it says 8 cpus (but this is due to threading) and they are a good i7

I already tested another game and it ran even faster with a minor improvement in graphics quality (i previously had a 9800 gtx)

Anyhow, I lost the bird file because it is on my broken computer. I doubt it will be too difficult to re-create. Once I have all the mods I like up and going again, I will write back here.

Are you sure the hard drive is lost? you could probably take the hard drive out and hook it up to your new PC and get the data off of it.
