GECK tutorial issue. Anyone solved it?

Tutorial 1 - Setting up the GECK is fine. Tutorial 2 - Layout is where I had problems. It teaches you how to setup a basic vault. At the bottom of the tutorial is a downward view of the layout with labels for what the different pieces in it are called. The place where I have run into problems in building the gallery section of the vault.

According to the way they name pieces the very first piece as you walk through the door into the gallery from the hallway should be called
VGalleryWallExSmR01. I have found a VGalleryWallExSm01. Look closely. No "R". It is the non rusty version of the vault meaning it does not match to any of the rest of the vault.

I also cannot find a corner section to the Gallery. I tried to grab one from other vaults in the game but couldn't find one in any of them. There has to be corner pieces otherwise my game would look very strange as I walk around it. Can anyone help?

I too had a similiar problem when I first did the tutorial and if I recall right there are missing pieces in the "rust" version of the galley. I do believe that someone put up on FO3Nexus a mod that contained the missing vault pieces, but I don't recall who it was off-hand. What I did was changed all my rusted pieces for the non-rusted ones so I could finish the tutorial (Ctrl+F is a shortcut after you click on a piece to quickly change it).

About the corner pieces, they are just regular room corner pieces that are added to the "galley rail" pieces, if I recall right. Add your rail pieces first and then add your room pieces to the top and bottom of the rail pieces.

Also don't be afraid to wing it....use the preview window and make your own layout! The GECK can be quite frustrating at first, but keep forging ahead and using this forum for your questions. Good Luck :brokencomputer:

Well I'm glad that I wasn't the only one with this issue. I feel your pain, but everything you need is there you just have to experiment. A really go tutorial that I feel should be done second because it helps speed up the trial and error process is the object pallet http://www.youtube.com/verify_age?next_url=http%3A//www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DB98bUHDQRXg%26fmt%3D22 and a wiki page on it http://geck.gamesas.com/index.php/Object_palette

Good luck
