Probably a really dumb Cs question.

I have very little experience with the Oblivion Construction set, so this problem is probably has a very simple fix but I do not seem to be able to figure it out.
I have a custom race mod which I would like to add more hairs too. And this hair pack comes with some instructions and I have followed them to the best of my ability. When I try to save the hair file then the CS throws an error that reads:
"Unable to complete function due to failure removing previous file. Temp file remains.
Continue playing?"
Then of course clicking yes does nothing but put me back where I was without saving my work.

When trying to add the hairs I go into the character tab and select hair, then right click and select new. I don't know what to put as an object id so I use the name of the hair, then select the appropriate nif file. And .dds for texture. I then name the new hair option The hair name and select playable.
After I have this done I open the character tab and select race, and then open the custom race I'm trying to add the hair to. I drag the hair choice over from the hair box to the race box and then click okay.
After doing all this then I try and save, that's when I get the error.

I tried to figure out the problem on my own but cannot seem to fix it. So if someone could take the time to point out whatever the problem is I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you.

When you edit an existing mod you need to click the 'Set as Active Plugin' button. You may have seen it on the load plugin window.

If you have Window 7 or Vista, and you installed the game in the default Program Files folder, then that can cause problems too.

I always click set active plugin on the race mod.

I am on a windows seven computer and my oblivion is installed to the Program Files (x86) folder. Is that the spot where most people have trouble with it?

Well I figured out the problem.

The CS wasn't allowing me to save because I wasn't running it as an admin. Thank you for trying to help me, I'm glad the problem was resolved.

Yes, running as admin is one solution if you have W7 or Vista 'and' you installed in the default program files folder.
