Brink Competition

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 5:12 pm

What's the word on the Brink competitive scene (for PC)? Anyone hear anything about any leagues, tournaments, cups, etc. forming up?

On a related topic, I'm assuming there's a few clans already coming together. Any big players that have already made a name for themselves / talk a big game? ;)

Peace!

I've heard whispers of National ESL, CSN, TWL, and a few others picking up BRINK, but nothing's concrete.

wasn't Brink trying to stray from competitive craziness and just have fun in a brand new way of shooter?

No , SD are hardcoe competitive players themselves. But they want to cater to everyone, hardcoe and casual alike.

Really hoping that SD will design a game with longevity in competitive e-Sports and capitalise on the mistakes other studios have made in the last few years.

When / if BRINK hits the likes of ESL and can be considered a solid LAN game, things will look pretty peachy and could seriously threaten any of the other games out there.

Nope, where did you get that idea? They want casuals to get into multiplayer easier, not stray away from 'competitive craziness'.

Stopwatch itself is created for the competitive gamer.

Heck, Brink is a game. That fundamentally means someone wins and someone loses. Whenever there is a chance to win against someone else, there will always be competition.
