Smithing one of the 18 skills?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 11:15 am

so in the new update about the ui theres a screenshot of the game ui while selecting one of your 18 skills the screenshot shows you selecting Destruction, But if you look to the right you can see Restoration alteration enchanting and then smithing ( the screenshot cuts off so it looks more like smit), Im just wondering does this mean that woodcutting smithing and all the other crafting skills are part of the 18 skills thats included in the game? does this mean that actual combat skills are even less then 18?

I believe smithing is just another name for armorer.

It will probably have armorer incorporated but remember, you can make your own weapons and armor in Skyrim using materials you get from mining or possibly from creatures also. It's much more than just armorer.

@ the OP: Well we have known about smithing being a skill since January 8th

theres 18 skills, 3 are craftin (1 for each sign: warrior, mage, thief) theres still 4 combat skills (1-handed, 2-handed, marksman, hand-to-hand). wood-cuttin is a job mini game sort. smithing is actually crafting armor weapons and etc and it is replacing armorer

i would assume marksman is a stealth-skill

i was talkin about actual combat not the combat skill. which what i thought the op was talkin about. either way there is jus as many combat skills as there was in oblivion. and plus with the system now allows for more weapons to be brought back and new weapons to be added
