Dissappearing Armor

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 9:06 pm

Having a slight problem implementing this http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8492

Now, I know how to apply this armor to the game (of course it's still possible I did something wrong), but for some reason when I equip the cuirass onto a female test NPC, their torso disappears. I've heard of this happening before, but don't remember how it is fixed.

Any help is appreciated as always.

Sounds like there is no Body Part assigned to the Cuirass/Chest armor piece.
Create the Body Part first, using the cuirass mesh (not the Ground mesh) then assign it to the Chest section of the armor.

I did that. And now the boots are all white. :P

It's okay though, I found some other clothing and armor that I like. And don't have to frustratingly add into the game myself. On the plus side, I learned how to put my own notes into the game. That give me level-ups in whatever skill I want. :)

I really hope the Skyrim Creation Kit is less problematic for me than Morrowinds. There's so much more I could do if it was just a little easier to work with. Although I suppose now I know why Elder Scrolls games take so long and need 100+ people that are all waaaaay more tech-savvy than I am to make. :P

Thanks anyways.

And now the boots are all white.

That would mean that the Texture files are not in the correct folder, or you didn't set the Texture path correctly.
This has nothing to do with how awkward the CS is. It's just how path-structuring works for computers. Make sure your Mesh knows where the Texture is.

Also, I'd have to say that the Morrowind CS is very easy to use and understand... it can't get much more simple. I'm sure the Skyrim kit will be much more complex.
