edit: not saying that skyrim will be 100% conan and all lore will be disregarded, just how much of the conan/viking influence are you willing to see in the game?

Things are really black and white in your world...why can't it be both? Dragons, perks and badass finishers does not get rid of the lore in Skyrim. It'll be fine.

Any great IP takes inspiration and great ideas from other sources (Star Wars is the most obvious example). The Roman Empire is also a great example that took many ideas from various cultures (Greeks, Etruscans, etc) and this even applies to the United States.

I say the more ideas and inspiration from other sources, the better!!!

What, so you're basically saying that Skyrim can't be inspired by anything, period? That's pretty much impossible by any standard.
