Post » Sun Aug 08, 2010 7:51 pm

Hey people,

Quick Question - When I use the GECK, I attempt to make a note that has an image in it. It prompts me to select a .dds file, but everytime i select one it tells me that the directory is invalid. any help please? :brokencomputer:

Are you storing your Images in the Fallout 3\Data\Textures directory? Usually folks put their textures into one of the sub-folders off the main Textures directory.

In general your assets all go in Data\ folders.

You make a folder called 'Textures' in the data folder.

At some point, you may also need to use Archive Invalidation.

You also need to install the http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=640 to extract the textures and meshes into the data\textures and data\meshes folder.

Cheers,

Omg thanks so much guys, it works now! Since you guys are intelligent, may I ask another?

I'm trying to link a door in my bunker to one i made in Vault 101, but even when leaving both doors unlocked, the door is apparently "activated elsewhere". It's not, it just doesn't like me going back to 101. Any hints please?

Did you link the doors properly? You cant place doors and have them magically link to one another.

Neither. You use the 'Teleport' tab on the door object in the Render Window.
