Skyrim - The Night Sky

I know I loved the night sky in Oblivion and I wanted to share this cool video that shows the scales of various planets in the real night sky. http://vimeo.com/19231255

I'm definitely hoping that Skyrim's increased elevation means we'll get to see even more celestial objects (because, hey, less light pollution from the imperial city and less atmosphere to see through). One thing I thought could be cool is if there was a quest related to an astronomical event. Maybe a comet appears or there is a meteor shower and a mage needs your help to solve something or find something during this time. What do you guys think?

I like your ideas. Or maybe magic is very very strong when the planets are aligned in a certain way or if there is a comet.

As for myself, I hope the Northern Lights have a presence in the game. Not all the time, but once in a while.

I live in the prairies in Canada, so we get to see them occasionally. I used to be posted in the far north of Canada, and we'd see the Northern Lights a lot more. I think it really would fit in Skyrim. They are so cool.

I would expect Skyrim to have a sky similar to the one in Oblivion. I mean...we are on the same planet right? :P

But i would like to see a northen lights sort of thing though.
