My First Cookbook
http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38693
---
Adds a handful of new recipes, most of them available for characters with a low survival skill. Many items are either burnt/ruined or require cookware. The idea is that you will still have an incentive to raise your survival skill to cook simpler, better food items. Imp's More Complex Needs is supported with an optional patch.

The burnt items which have a vanilla counterpart will only be visible in the crafting menu if your survival skill is too low to make the proper version. Recipes that require cookware will only appear if you have the required utensils; a note listing these recipes will be added to your inventory.

If you are not using the IMCN patch, you will have the choice of whether or not food healing is enabled for the new items. If you are using the IMCN patch, food healing is controlled by IMCN settings.

Installation
---
Manual:
Extract the contents of the archive to your Data folder. Check off MyFirstCookbook.esp, and optionally the IMCN compatibility.esp, in the launcher or your utility of choice.
Manual uninstall:
Delete MyFirstCookbook.esp and MyFirstCookbook - IMCN compatibility.esp, as well as the Textures\MFC folder.

Wrye Flash:
Copy the archive to your Bash Installers folder, in the Installers tab select the package and optionally uncheck the IMCN compatibility.esp if you don't want it. Right click the package and select "install", then in the Mods tab check off the .esp(s) and adjust load order accordingly.

FOMM:
I haven't tested it, but creating a FOMOD from this archive should work fine.

Load Order
---
It should be safe to load the main .esp anywhere, since it doesn't alter any existing records.
The IMCN compatibility patch must be loaded after Imp's More Complex Needs.esp.

Usage
---
Feel free to use this or any part of it in your own project, just give me credit.

Cool, any feedback would be appreciated. Best of luck with the update, I'm hearing that a lot of people are having issues.

One thing I am kind of on the fence about is adding an options menu to the player's inventory to toggle food healing on and off. My gut feeling is that players are generally going to want one or the other and not switch it mid-game, and I don't want to add inventory clutter for something no one is going to use. On the other hand, it would be simple for me to add and it is a lot more convenient than doing it in the console.

Just posted a small update to this. I fixed an error in the requirements for the Baked Potato recipe, and added the Machete Gladius and the Liberator to be recognized as knives.
