Well, the latest news from Italy says customizable spells are out.

So I guess, the answer is: Yes.
TES is too oversimplified for me to even buy now.

I never want anything to be simple that is why my computer takes up half the room, it has vacuum tubes, and I have to write everything out in binary, this alone took me 40min

I think in morrowind they had it just right. Besides the graphics in oblivion, it almost seems like it came before morrowind. And no, I didn't play morrowind before oblivion. They're both great, but morrowind is better. I hope skyrim will be like both, but more morrowind-ish.

@OP: At least one point is right, Todd said at the time of Oblivion he was "influenced" by LotR, and we got LotR 1.5... Now he says he likes Conan very much, so guess what, we will get Conan 1.5...
