Of course it's also worth nothing that repeating crossbows are about as accurate as a broken shotgun with no choke being fired randomly by a drunken blind person. They weren't typically used for accurate fire (which they were pretty much incapable of), but for raining random damage down on large armies approaching in formation. Their utlitity against a single opponenet would be pretty close to zero.
i thought reduced range was good enough, it's difficult to show accuracy in a game like skyrim (which shouldn't be to different from oblvion). i didn't think it matteres in a game that allows you to shoot fire from your hands and yell at dragons and breath under water with magic rings
