Placeatme command issue

Post » Sun Aug 15, 2010 12:25 pm

The Player.PlaceAtMe console command works when I want to spawn enemies such as bandits, yet when I try to summon a Knight of the Nine, it doesn't work. For example, I tried to get Sir Lathon to appear next to me in the Imperial Waterfront (his ref id is xx002699) yet he won't appear. Nor do any other knight.

Has anyone else found this/or figured a way to solve this issue?

That's his placed reference ID. His base form ID is xx000F84

First of all, that command takes the Base ID, so you need to substitute "xx" for the source mods LO position. Secondly, you should probably stop using that command to prevent trashing your game.

It's worth noting that you have to be very careful with this command. It's a well known cause of saved game bloat. Make sure you carefully read the CS wiki page on this command to ensure you're cleaning up after yourself.

Thanks for the info but I don't know how to find the source mods LO position! I need your help here.

And thanks for the other advice from the others I will take your comments on board and will not save a game when using these placeatme commands. Plus, to the first commenter, that code didn't work either! I can't get any knights to spawn!

If you have OBMM or Wrye Bash, you can see your LO. BOSS does not print your LO. If you do not use either of those utilities, you can simply count down to the plugin in question and convert the number to hex.
