I finally snapped

As i have posted before i cant access the majority of the western world map due to an invisible barrier in which the game will crash, without fail....

*possible spoiler's*

Because of this bug i was forced to side with the NCR as i couldnt complete Yes Man's quest in which i visit the various factions, since i cant access the western world map that leave's the Great Khans unaccessible. So i go to Hoover Dam and start For the Republic quest and guess what the first thing i have to do is? go and see the Great Khans!

So i cant finish a questline, half the locations i have left to explore i cannot go anywhere near them or the game will crash, anymore hard resets and the xbox will surely RRoD -.-

Today i tried to trade it in for CoD:BO, my reasoning was i could get the game for a fiver and then maybe get F:NV back for Xmas or wait until GOTY edition but it was sold out.... Iv'e been well and truly shafted..hard!

I have noticed that yes, but no one can seriously deny this game is seriously broken (seriously!) F:NV is full of gamebreaker's, we should not resort to workaround's, the odd bug and glitch isn't a problem as long as it does not affect the game in a big way, but anything that basically stop's you finishing, or even experiencing the majority of the content in the game is a major flaw.

The offer for trade in still run's for another 6 day's, so i will trade it in eventually, but i know ill end up buying the game again when it's patched enough to be in a workable condition, at least this way ill be entertained rather than losing my temper and risking my xbox getting RRoD.

From what iv'e played so far, i think the game is amazing, personally better than FO3 for me but i cant tolerate playing more knowing the next few step's i take in-game will result in another crash.

I really do how the upcoming patch resolve's the major issue's everyone is having, F:NV deserve's better.

As I have said before a game of this size and scope is expected to have a few minor bugs and other assorted problems, however FONV is beyond a laughing matter, I have given up trying to play now as I just get frustrated. Its a sad shame as otherwise it would be a great game. :sadvaultboy:

Dead on my man. I've been saying that for a while now. I've been playing (and loving) Bethesda's "open world style" games since Arena (that is the very first Elder Scrolls game for those of you unfamiliar with the glorious history of Bethesda). Anyway, as I was saying I've been playing Bethesda's games for a very long time, so I am used to the occasional glitch or freeze. Like you said when you make games as complex as Bethesda's this stuff is to be expected. However, FONV is not "buggy" it's freakin broken. I've been saying for a while now that the release of New Vegas went something like this.

Developer One: We can't release the game yet, it's not finished.

Developer Two: We haven't even playtested it yet.

Management: Release it anyway and we'll finish it through patches and updates.

Developers One & Two: Okay.

I was really looking forward to F:NV, hence why i will buy the game again if/when it's fully patched, i dont mind waiting, i just dont want to shelve the game and twiddle my thumbs, trade in is really my only option at this point which is a shame :(

I really loved Oblivion and FO3 (i actually spent hours upon hours just placing objects around my Skingrad and Megaton house lol) while i did have the occasional bug/glitch they didnt affect my game, also the odd crash once in a while was to be expected but at least i could access the entire game and do all possible quest's and not end up getting frustrated.

F:NV is a technical mess :(

I really do hope so mate, Been looking forward to F:NV since i first saw it announced.

Hopefully ill manage to trade it in soon and play BO for a bit and when i eventually get F:NV back it will be the game we all expected. I'll still be keeping an eye on the forum's though to see if there's any new info pre and post patch release.

Finger's crossed!

I agree with that, i just cant tolerate crashes. If they manage to fix almost everything except crashes then i wouldnt bother, im not killing my xbox over a game.
