Blender Weight copying problem

Post » Tue Aug 17, 2010 10:38 am

Hi, I need some noob help on bone weight copying in blender.

I have a mesh that has vertex weights already applied, but they are not correct now the mesh has been reconformed. I have a mesh of the correct shape and with the correct vertex weights so I can copy them over. What I need help with is getting rid of the weights on the mesh I wish to copy them to.

I know this is probably going to be a simple answer, and when someone tells me how to do it I'll have a *FACEPALM* moment, but currently I am ready to throw the monitor out of the window.

So, how the hell do I remove/delete vertex weights from a mesh?

Simply use the delete button shown http://wiki.blender.org/uploads/c/c0/Manual-Vertex-Groups-paneldefault.png.
Click that until all vertex groups are erased. Your model should now be weightless.
