I'm new and its most likely been reported but...

Yesterday my X-Box 360 copy of Fallout new vegs refused to load, freezing on the loading screen with roulette wheel just stopping spinning and went no further, a couple of tries and I got nowhere.
I tried not continuing but going to load on the menu screen but all I got was the message ;

This save game relies on downloadable content that is no longer available. Some objects may be no longer available. Continue loading?

I managed to find one that worked last night but today none will work, what is going on?
When it was working there were plenty of pauses and it was getting right on my nerves, but this is just impossible.

you're not alone (fortunately? unfortunately? i don't even know anymore).

there's been hundreds of people on these forums already complaining about this exact issue (and that's just on the 360 forums, haven't checked elsewhere as much). There are a couple of official posts saying that they've already developed the patch to fix this issue (and many, MANY others) but that it is still in testing/certification and we can expect it out "in the coming weeks". there was a patch for the PC yesterday afternoon that supposedly addressed the save game issue, so hopefully that means we'll be seeing it soon for the consoles. haven't heard any definitive answers on whether your existing saves will be recoverable or whether they are dead.

be glad you only just got the issue yesterday... i got it 10/23, so it's been a long 2 weeks waiting for any info at all.

Have a look at the info from the staff at bethesda (top of page) they mention somethin about erasing the cach on the hard drive,not had to do it myself (yet) but i think it might be the info your after.your saves,i think your saves are corrupted.

It's a save-glitch error that has been reported a ton of times. Luckily, the admin of this site has told us that they are on the final process of the patch that will fix this problem. :)

First time on here, so Hello!

Just encountered this annoyance this evening, had played about 60 hours getting the feel of the game and character build, with a couple of freezes, then decided to go for a new playthrough as I had the hang of everything that I wanted, only for this rubbish to occur 28 hours into that.

On trying to load a saved game I get the loading screen freeze, when I try to load the autosave which was just moments beforehand, I get the DLC not found message, the question I'm really looking to ask is will these saves be accessable once the game is patched, or will the issue just not arise with future saves from that point onward?.

I think it's been established that it will only prevent future occurences of this, but I don't know for sure whether the saves will be accessible. I got this game the day it came out and on the fourth day of playing this glitch happened. So I've pretty much been sitting on my hands for three weeks hoping for a patch. I started a new file, but I'd really like the old one back after the work I put into it. I understand a game of this size is bound to have glitches, but you'd think one of this calibur wouldn't slip under the radar. It's a little ridiculous.
