I just recently got netflix and i have been wearing this thing out, but most of the movies on the instant watch kinda svck, I just got got finished watching the original Funny Games (which by the way is amazing) and i was wondering if anyone knew any other good horror/psychological thrillers on netflix (you dont have to know if its on netflix, just give me the name and i will check)

Pi. The Orphanage is a great suggestion too.

[Edit] Have you seen Paranormal Activity? I know a few people who didn't find it scary, but it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Rugrats go to paris.
Totally horrifying that they made it.

FF spirits within
Totally horrifying that they would blemish the FF series with this film.

I dont really like horror movies in general, so when I like one, it is really good. here's the horror movies I loved:

-Silence of the Lambs (I ate his liver with some fava beans.)

-The first Saw movie and only this one, I couldn't finish the second one (It is a genuinely great movie, and somehow has a boatload of great performances by future Lost actors)

-A Clockwork Orange (Scary, disturbing, sometimes with a touch of dark, dark humor, it really is a classic)

-The Shining (HERE'S JOHNY!!! :chaos: )

-Alien (THE best horror/sci-fiction mix ever)

The Thing. For a movie as old as it is, the effects still hold up and the movie is still as chilling as it was all those years ago. More recently I felt that Paranormal Activity achieves being a pretty creepy movie. Human Centipede is another, though it doesn't quite qualify as a traditional horror movie, achieving more of a psychological thriller title. Also, it is not for the faint of heart.

Awww, another one who didn't like it :P I'd consider Pi to be a psychological horror/thriller. It's made by the guy who did Requiem for a Dream and the new Black Swan film, so if you like those it's definitely worth a look.

I thought Drag me to Hell was great fun too - it won't necessarily linger in the brain, but it's got some good old fashioned jumpy and gross out moments :) Good for watching with friends I think.

I don't know why but the Amityville Horror scared the [censored] out of me. I seriously had nightmares after that movie! I usually don't get scared when watching movies, but that one did the trick!

The Crazies is on NetFlix. I just got it myself and that was the first movie I watched. It wasn't scary, not even that great of a movie, but I'm a svcker for zombies.

Ok, so I'll list some other horror movies I really liked:

-The Blair Witch project (It's a really good film, and interesting without dazzling special effects)

-Cloverfield (Maybe it's not as good on an ordinary TV rather then on Big Screen like I watched it, but it was one of the most intense cinema experience I ever had. The subway scene was incredible!)

-Jaws (but you've probably seen it)

-Shawn of the Dead (The greatest Horror / Comedy mix ever!)

-Seven (Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman hunt a serial killer together, 'nuff said)

-Resident Evil (Somehow, or should I say miraculously, it is a good horror movie, so good in fact that it created a lot of horrible sequels)

If you've seen all those, I give up, and recommend you:

-The video game Amnesia: The Dark Descent (It's the greatest horror experience ever, scary as hell and it really brings you in. Buy it on Steam right now for 20$, really, do it!)

I hear [Rec] is great - I've seen the English version, which was scary enough for me, but apparently the original is far better. Heard the same thing about the original The Ring film.

El Orphanado was a very, very suspensful flick. Del Toro did a great job with it. The whole thing is in spanish, however, so you will need sibtitles to watch it. But it is Totally worth it.
