How to get patches when you don' have broadband internett

Post » Thu Aug 19, 2010 2:03 am

I've read that many of this great game's glitches can be remedied with a patch. However due to my rural location , broadband is not available. I would appreciate advice whether there is a patch available to us in the "boon docks". Or will I be forced to buy the updated and repaired version of New Vegas when it is released.

Trust me you do not want this patch, it completely broke my game and many of my friends as well... I do not know if they will have a DL site to put the patch on a USB but I think they should.... whenever they actually get this game working again

Nowadays you really shouldn't buy a console unless you have some sort of internet connection. I know this is after the fact, but games are made and put on market before all bugs are fixed because developers know they can just patch it later on. Some games are even unplayable until a suitable patch is released. Fable 2 comes to mind with its really bad save corruption bug. Oblivion was another game that was in dire need of a patch or two.you just have to find a connection...somewhere...after patch is released and download it real quick like.

I remember a while ago when my internet connection was down I managed to patch my xbox by connecting my mobile phone to my laptop in modem mode then connecting my xbox to my laptop via ethernet. Then I enabled internet connection sharing on my laptop. I was able to log into live and update a game when I done this.

Obviously it depends on whether your mobile phone and mobile network allows this.
