I am told we start in prison again so I copied something I typed elsewhere and I think that it would be a really cool start to the game.

How about there are several methods of execution and they are displayed outside of the dungeon. I think it would be cool having them randomly pick one of several ways you are about to die (i heard you start in prison and are about to be executed) and then you just go oh [censored]! Then you have your big escape when a dragon attacks the town and your friend (game companion you start with) takes his chance rescues you he tosses you a weapon and you jump on horses and you have to fight your way out ON horseback from this big town. The tutorial starts when he gives you the weapon up until then is a video. I think it could work very well. Or maby not a dragon attacking the town but freedom fighters because the town is a well known supporter of the empire?

Notice I mentioned mounted combat in this if mounted combat is not in there could be a variation of this. I would just sincerely hope that they could do something like this it could make the game start fun and make us not hate the prison start.

Does anyone else think that this suspiciously sounds like part of the plot to Tron: Legacy? Personally, I kind of was thinking there would be some kind of civil war or dragon attack as well before the main character is executed.

@Vamphaery - Also, there is no indication that Esbern valiantly comes to our rescue. We just know we are about to be executed, and we will eventually come across Esbern. It's plausible, but we do not know.

I dont know, you could be very close.
It has been said were scheduled for execution at the start of the game, and what better distraction to facilitate your escape than a huge flying dragon wrecking everything and setting it on fire.

We will see though, so far I have liked the intro's of all elder scrolls games and Im sure Skyrim's will be great

actually it would be kind of fun if you didnt escape and got to see yourself executed........in full first person view. :celebration:

supposedly your brain stays active for 8 seconds after beheading..........wouldnt it be cool to see your view rotate around and then you see the bottom of a basket or if it lands upright you could see your severed neck. you could watch your flesh burn off if you were burned. my first few characters wouldnt even make it out of prison, id end up running past the guards to the execution spot and jumping up and down complaining about why they are walking so slowly.

It would be a movie you would not move!

There is no reason to assume that the execution is not part of the civil war or that one or both of these principal factions is not involved in some way.

Also, the part about esbern is confirmed in the Italian magazine GMC released Jan 30.
