This sounds very stupid and I thought some one was screwing with me but it freakin works. Go to the Crimson Carivan and buy the Old Cowboy Hat. Put this hat on before you enter the strip and no more black screen of death. Pisses me off some thing so off the wall actually worked. I found this on a google search.

you also could have tried a forum search and would have found this same "fix" for the issue.
