Here we go again...

Post » Fri Aug 27, 2010 4:32 am

As the hype for Skyrim firmly takes hold I've gone and ordered a copy of Oblivion for my PS3. I originally played the game to death on my 360 years ago and sold it cause it basically took over my life! I had all the 'achievements' and was wandering the world still finding new stuff!

Now I've set myself up to do it all again, wish me luck!

Nuff said. Tbt there′s so much to do, you won′t have time to do anything really if you plan on playing Skyrim when it′s released :P

I first played Oblivion to death on my pc. Infact I even went and bought a new PC at the announcement of the game just so I could play it with ease (I'd played Morrowind to the death prior). I then bought an Xbox so I did it all over again.

With all this recent hype over Skyrim its made me want to start a new character in Oblivion.

I've never considered Khajiit but due to some of the attention they've been getting in some of the threads its drawn me to go with a Khajiit.

Ranj-iit is his name. Wish him well, lol

Light armored thief / assassin style fighter.

Well, at least you have done it before, so you do know what you are getting yourself into. :celebration:

I do hope that you are planning to finish the WHOLE game again before November. That is the true challenge. Lol.
I also hope that you have a huge screen for the PS3 to play on. Years ago we just played on 4:3. How we did that I'll never know....

Never even thought about screen size, was on a 21 inch non HD TV last time, now on 40 inch HD! I can't even remember how many hours I put in last time but it was a lot, would certainly like to do it again before Skyrim.

It really is bad timing though, start another degree in June (3rd one!) and could do without the distraction. Never mind, gamer for life lol!

By the way, off topic, this forum works superbly well on my mobile, quite possibly the best forum I have ever used on my phone. Great job Bethesda.

Cayo (my char) is like "Heavy-armored Imperial Legion Battlemage Officer by day, light-armored adventurer by night". Why limit yourself :D

(Well, truth is that Cayo is pretty much useless at Conjuration, Blunt, Marksman...and only at lvl 43 (currently 47) he decided to practise his Illusion skill).

Did you find it hard to learn how to install mods? I still can't do it, and I don't understand the walkthrough on how to do it on this forum.

No not at all, All the you need to do is download the Mod.Unzip the file and extract it.Copy the files inside over to the data file in the game files. Then activate it in a mod manager or in the oblivion launcher where it says data files.
