I made a new character and the first thing I did was go to the Jerall Mountains. I soon found myself at dive rock, where something really really strange happened. One of those cammona tong dudes was standing there and as soon as I walked up to him he turned around and ran off the mountain, killing himself. Has this ever happened to anyone else before? Aren't those cammona tong thugs only suppose to hang out in walker's camp? I know this is Oblivion, but this is the weirdest thing I've seen yet

It's happened before, not to me, though. There's been stories about it many a times and it's even listed on http://uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Dive_Rock#Notes

Basically a thieves outfit from Morrowind. They are rivals to the Thieves Guild.

I seem to recall them more being a syndicate of thugs, rather than Thieves.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that happened to me a while ago. It was surprising.

I think it's because Dive right is close to their camp (not counting the elevation difference). So sometimes they might spawn there. Then they try to walk or run back to camp, and don't see the cliff. But it is weird!
