It's not going to happen. There are dozens of threads on this. Look for them and you'll see why.

It's not possible, as far as I know. I think Lucius mentioned that DaggerXL would still be too intensive to be ported to things like the DS.

I bought http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPuHbSxdJa0 earlier this year, and enjoyed it quite a bit. It's a first person fantasy hack'n'slash, not much unlike Battlespire, but with a more childfriendly story. And one swing the sword by using the stylus, which to be honest isn't a good way to control it as it gets very tiresome after longer gaming sessions. But it's close to the control scheme found in Daggerfall and the earlier TES titles.

Anyway, on a technological level it's sort of on the same scale as the another portable TES game, the N-Gage game http://www.elderscrolls.com/games/shadowkey_overview.htm, so it got some way to go until it reach the Daggerfall level. However, the recently released http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_DSi have a CPU twice as fast and 4x as much RAM, and I do belive that a Daggerfall port would be very possible there. Not that it gonna happen, but yeah, possible.

Actually, here's what lucius said:
However I've considered a DS port with simplified graphics - i.e. simpler lighting, low resolution (because of DS limits), limited visibility, no texture filtering.

The full content of that post can be found http://daggerxl.50.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=46&p=474#p474. He seems to think it's possible, and it sounds like something he wants to do eventually.
