Does this mean that your game crashes even without the mods that you pointed out installed? If the game does work without them installed, please post the "before" and "after" load orders. That is a lot to take in. I cannot keep up with your progress. Did the game work after reinstalling and patching it to the latest version. Reinstalling should include generating a new INI, or deleting your My Games\Oblivion folder all together. Adding mods does not "magically" break the game. Mods being stable does not mean they will be stable when used in all configurations.
the game (currently) works fine. When I install all the stable mods I had before I installed the main menu video, the atmospheric load screens, and QTP3, the game still crashes...
I mean, in all seriousness, I have basically reinstalled as if it was my first time to be installing Oblivion (aside from my save files I preserved). I install Oblivion, then install SI, then Patch it, then generate the .ini - tells me it is set for low quality, I go to options, set the quality to "Ultra High". I then proceed by installing OBMM, BOSS, OBSE, and the CS. once done, I install every mod (that I used when my Oblivion was stable) manually UNLESS they have OBMM conversion data (and somewhere between after installing Oblivion and before installing the helpful programs I put my save files back into Oblivion). Then, I boot her up via OBSE, and as I was told by you to try and start a new file, I do so. and then it all goes to hell from there.
During uninstallation I follow these practical steps:
Delete my C:/Oblivion folder.
Uninstall Oblivion
Delete My Games/Oblivion folder (but not before retrieving my save files)
this is not a a problem due to hardware. I believe last time it may have been, but this time, there is obvious evidence it is not because of my hardware, as I can run Oblivion at Ultra High settings flawlessly with a good 40 - 50 FPS.
So it boils down to the mods...which once again confuses me because all my clean installs only involve those mods that were stable. And when I say stable I mean they were all compatible with one another when i was playing Oblivion. Once in awhile I would crash, but that would only happen rarely, usually because I am trying to do something that the game doesn't like to much and get a little hiccup in my CPU usage.
Let me know when this all starts to make sense, because right now, it's not making sense to me.
I will begin installing all my mods again. And just for good measure, I will post my LO every time I install a new mod, that way you don't miss a blink of the action. I will let you know which LO is the problem child.
Oh, one last thing I think is fair to mention...When Oblivion was stable, I had a lot of unknown mods for boss that remained at the bottom of my LO since BOSS had no idea what to do with them. Even then I encountered no real problem from this. anyways....let's get the fun times rolling here....and try for the...what is this? fourth time? well hopefully the fourth time is the charm, I have been in the mood to cut down a few bandits, and fight a real challenging boss with an awesome Rapier...
