Medic Power Armor

Post » Mon Sep 06, 2010 3:04 am

I recently read about the Prototype Medic Power Armor that's located in the Broken Steel expansion, which apparently injects you with Med-X at the appropriate times. I couldn't stop thinking, "Wouldn't it be cool to have a set that regulated ALL my chems?" I'm sure that other people have felt the same way and made their own version, so can anyone tell me if they know of such a mod? Or if not, I'll make one myself...I don't have the same kind of talent as the rest of this modding community since I'm a newcomer to the G.E.C.K., but I'm sure I can figure something out.

If I remember right its in the game before the dlc since the sewers in old olney are there no matter what.

I personally would probably find use for armour that injects me with Psycho expecially in real life :) (thats a joke I am definately not a angry person).

Half the time my characters are either psycho or Jet junkies but it doesnt bother me too much to have to use my inventory or hotkeys. Still would be a cool idea though :).

It's part of vanilla fallout (and I think gets overwritten by Broken Steel if you haven't retrieved it in time). Armor that automatically applied stimpacks would basically make you invulnerable late in the game though.

Wait, do you mean the prototype or the complete medic armor? If there's a completed suit...I want! If you just mean the Prototype, then...I still want the completed suit:)

Better Medic Power Armor. In my opinion the best one around.

No mod for me.
Back to my research base!

EDIT: Okay, what armor are you talking about? I looked around the GECK for a while and couldn't find it...I want!

FOOK2 substitutes the T51-b with a non-prototype suit which uses most of the meds and introduces itself sans the prototype line. It also restores a few unutilized lines of dialogue spoken by both talking suits when you're out of "vitamin M". They can also be worn by followers who will be medded up if they have meds in their inventory used by the corresponding suit, but they only talk to the player.

There's only the Prototype Medic Power Armor in Old Olney; it's in the vanilla game, and does not get overwritten in Broken Steel. However, it is on a decaying corpse, so if when you go into the Old Olney Sewer network, find the armor or you'll lose it forever...

In reality, the armor isn't all that good; basically it's a T-45b power armor with a Mr. Gutsy voice taked on and the ability to inject you with Med-X if you get below a certain health level (and have the Med-X on your person)... It's kinda like a Honda Civic with flame paint and spinning rims; flashy, but there's really nothing THAT special about it.

Of course, there's mods (the one I'm running turns it into a chem-injecting, healing, rad-removing power armor), but it sounds like you're on the console, so you're pretty much SOL.

There is also TUPAM (The Ultimate Power Armor Mod) by Drag0ntamer that modifies medic power armor to use all chems (as well as adds a helmet specifically for the armor set) --- though the other armor changes made by the mod may or may not be to your liking.
