An idea for temporary companions

Would anyone like it if you could hire Fighters Guild members to accompany you on quests?

It could help to make harder quests easier and add to the roleplaying experience, if your character is not a 'combat' type.

There have been several places in recent Beth games where you can call, summon, or hire temporary help to aid you in a tough fight. In OBlivion you could bring along an apprentice mage once you reached a high rank in the mage's guild. In FO:NV you could use a radio item to call for some NCR troopers to come give you a hand. I'm sure there will be something liek this in TES V. It may, however, only be available at then end of quest or something like that which might limit access for low level characters.

On the other hand, i can understand that you might want some help if you're anticipating a diffcult battle ahead, but be honest, do you really want to hire a body guard if you're just out exploring the countryside? Besides, you're the Dragon Born, people might think you're a wimp, and then where will you be, just some guy who does funny shouts and then has other people kill dragons for him.

If you are really aren't the fighting type and are just dying to have a companion who will go with you anyhere and never complain and always be ready to help you in a fight, then I suggest practicing your conguration magic.

Speaking of companions, has there been any word on if they are in? I actually really liked having companions in the Fallout games...

I'm much more very interested in more of a group combat style than the traditional player vs world.

I vaguely recall an Oblivion quest where you meet up with some guards and cleared a castle. Whilst I don't remember it working that well, the guards died quickly and I had to do it all myself, I liked the concept. With that it mind I'd like something similar to be more common, so rather than clearing the pack of wolves that are harassing the farmers by yourself, you meet up with a group of the farmers or local guards and go together. It could also be a way to scale the difficultly by changing the type/number/strength of your allies.
