Sounds good anyone know a good seed to start the map with?
When you get the map feel free to take plenty for screen shots of what youve done.

Finally got me some Minecraft. Been kicking around in single player for a bit now, but it's quite lonely. I'm ready to join you guys in the server!

A little while ago there was a whitelist that people needed to be on to get into the server. That still going on?

Make sure to name the folder for the map something none of us would already have. So instead of "World1," name it "BSF Shared Map" or something like that.

Yep. MrTankJump, Undone or Bonemonster will let you in once they see your post.

Once you get into the server, you can set up a starter shack for free in one of the 8x8 plots in the city. Any other plot will cost you septims, which are our in-server currency. We also have a shop set up that lets you instantly buy and sell almost any item with/for that currency. I'm sure someone will be able to explain all the commands that do all this stuff once you get into the server.

You can also build anything you want outside of the city for free, but obviously it's more dangerous due to mobs.

Sweet. How do I get these septims?

As far as I know we're still using our usual system, which is 1 septim per 5 minutes of playing time, or by selling stuff to the shop. However, I think the admins are still messing with the mods that handle all this stuff, so that might change.

I also forgot to mention that we have a mod that lets us have the Nether in our server. Basically anything you do there is fair game as long as you don't grief or steal anyone else's stuff.

Assuming The Gate Keeper wants to use the seed "gargamel", I went ahead and generated a map with it, but didn't actually do anything to the map itself. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=K3IKWVHT. I also wrote instructions for installing it and uploading it:

Steps for installing the map:
1. Download the archive
2. Extract the file to the desktop
3. Copy the file and paste it into C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\.minecraft\saves

Steps for uploading the map when you're done:
1. Make a copy of the save file, then right click on it and, using 7-Zip, click "Add to BSF Shared Map.zip"
2. Upload the archive to Megaupload or your preferred file hosting service.
