Grouse Slaver Radio -- mod

Post » Wed Sep 15, 2010 5:12 pm

The readme doesn't explain, and if I click on the radio in my inventory (or via hotkey) all I get is a message, "slaver radio added". Nothing else happens, not even a radio frequency.

This mod is intended to be a shortcut between the player and the slaver Grouse, to supress the need of travelling back to Paradise Falls every time in order to get a new slave collar. I just need to understand how to make it work...

From what I gather (from the first part of the description) is you capture a slave but instead of going back to Paradise Falls to make sure they arrived and collect payment and get another collar you just click on the radio in your inventory. Grouse will say his line then another collar will auto-magically pop into your inventory.

I've recently tried out this mod for an evil character. It is indeed a shortcut for having to travel back to Paradise Falls every time you get a slave. The way it works is that once you've enslaved someone and ample time has passed for the slave to reach Paradise Falls, using the radio should set you up for the next enslavement (gives you caps for the current slave, and a new slave collar for the next slave).

Usually waiting around 2-3 hours and then using the radio will be enough time for them to reach Paradise Falls. At least in my experience.

I think I know what's going on... I'm playing on sort of "custom hardcoe mode" with FWE, and the slave never reached Paradise Falls... well, maybe it would have helped if I didn't take his ammo and weapon (and clothes).

In this case the radio should transmit the line Grouse says when it happens: "you idiot, I can't make money from dead slaves", or something like that, and offer the possibility to buy another collar. Since, like MystykStar said, it is magic, let's use it to its full potencial... ;)

Oh, what a hard life a slaver has nowadays...
