Why not ditch argonian and kajit :/

Post » Mon Sep 20, 2010 5:42 am

For some reason I feel like argonian and kajit don't stand out as separate races in Oblivion, except that they look different, and that Kajits are poor. I heard that in Skyrim they'll try to make the races look more different, but I guess that only apply to the human races, because kajit and argonians already look different enough. I don't know what they can do to make them more unique though, i tried but can't think of good ideas. I just feel like they are just regular human with different appearance.

I would prepare your flame shield sir.

There is lots of things they could do with them.

But i'll let others describe them to you because i'm tired.

Ditch Nords too I reckon especially as it's in Skyrim. And what have the Imperials ever done?

I'm sure if you get enough people complaining about them, Bethesda will remove them by next game.

That's what they seem to do with everything else anyway... :spotted owl:

I think the kajit and argonians lack of a certain culture that defines them from humans. Orcs, on the other hand, do feel unique.

Bipedal cat and lizard people who hail from mysterious provinces all their own, who can see in the dark and breathe underwater, who love moon sugar and thievery, make excellent assassins and pickpockets, and speak with exotic accents aren't differentiated enough from the other races?

Im not a fan of Kajiit and Argonians, but they are by far the most unique.
Even though I never play them, I will be disappointed if they are gone...

but they aren't reflected as what you described in Oblivion. In Oblivion they are just imperials.

Did you even play Morrowind?

Did you even pay attention to the race's backstory?

Why would anyone want to cut out a race? While I don't like the bosmer race I'm glad they are in because others might like to play them. Add the fact that Todd said they are making each race more unique, and you got a good reason to keep them.

I smell a lock...

No one is forcing you to play as a Khajiit or an Argonian. They are just as much part of the lore as Akatosh, the Daedra and the Septims are. You just enjoy your humanoid races and let us who love the beast races enjoy them and everyone can be happy.

LIke I said, in Oblivion they are like imperials.

I did play morrowind and they are better in that game. but morrowind is gone, we have to look ahead, to see what bethesda's general direction is.

Yeah, I'm going to close this now before things get ugly. Quite frankly there's enough drama on these forums as it is. You don't have to purposely start looking to add more.
