IDEA Brahmin Herder

post nuke scenario, food scarce, brahmin gives meat, rad-reducing milk, evan king says brahmin are arefu's lifeblood, etc etc.

seems like any settlement would want more brahmin around. in fact, people should be taking them away from each other. so im thinking of a mod that makes them a valuable resource in game. like you could herd them back to town and the mayor gives you caps in exchange. default behaviour is they run away from you so you'd have an item that could knock them unconscious and make them docile for a short time, or lure them in with food. animal friend perk also becomes more useful as brahmin wont run away from you.

Yes exactly like this! I finally tried the new RTS and saw it had this feature shortly AFTER i posted. so something like this for those without RTS would still be nice. after all other settlements still need brahmin too.

Attentater's Wasteland Economy adds brahmin to settlements

isnt it just cosmetic though? im hoping for RTS-type brahmin-as-a-valuable-resource thing. im using ART and caps are always hard to come by so im constantly on the lookout for money earning schemes.

It'd be nice if there was a Butcher Pete type mod for Brahmin instead of people. I could actually see spending some serious time tending cattle, if I got good return on it. The better the water, the cleaner the meat, the better the feed, more meat from butchery, etc.

Plus points for being able to choose your own spot for it. (Though I'd probably end up outside Canterbury Commons anyways, simply because of preexisting fencing.)
