Force Unleashed II

Post » Wed Sep 29, 2010 7:29 pm

So I just got Force Unleashed II in the mail from gamfly and beat it within 2 days. It was a great game but so very short. I remember the first game that took you to 4 or 5 planets and numerous boss battles that actually made work for a victory. With Force Unleashed II you only end up going to 3 planets and one of them is just talking to yoda and then you leave...no fighting, just on the planet for about 5 minutes. I was very disappointed that it only took less then 6hrs to beat this game and was limited to 2 planets and small maps. I expected alot more then the first game and instead got much less. It was fun while it lasted, but I am very glad I decided to rent the game instead of going out and spending $60 dollars on a 5hr game. Anyway, just wondering what all of you who have played the game though of it and whether your views mirrored mine or if you think I'm way off base and why.

Good game, too short. Also, why did they change the Gorog?

i say it's another bioshock like game that thinks they get to give you half the content because there are 2 "unique" ending that are effected by minor choices in the game

By hitting the A or B button at the end you mean?

lol, the minor change with either picking light side or dark side at the very end of the final boss battle was kinda a cop out I think. Otherwise there was no choice whatsoever in the game. I did, however, like all of the force powers and felt that, more than anyother game, the character was really a jedi. That being said I don't think there were really anything substancially new or different in force powers or fighting style that wasn't in the first.

Save you money. Rent it for two nights, beat it, and return it. Very little replayability.

precisely, and i felt that the boss fight again darth vader lasting for nearly an hour at the end was ridiculous

The only thing that is close to entertaining in the game is killing stormtroopers (which I thought I'd do for about 10 hours). But instead you're put up against annoying robots most of the time, having to block and perform very dull combinations constantly. It was fun the first time you destroyed it, but after destroying a few it gets tedious.

The boss fights are far too long, not very difficult (except for one part with the giant creature where the hit detection is awful)

I beat the game in less time than it took to download it.

Pfeh!

Lets say price wasnt an issue for this game or the first one. Which one was more fun? Or, was one more fun than the other

Didnt like the first or second one, Starkiller is more like goku than a jedi.

I enjoyed #1 far more though the constant knock-downs want to make me break things.

Both are great fun, but gameplay wise I prefer the second.
